Welcome to TapVakil ("we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account, browsing, or scheduling legal consultations through our platform, you ("User", "Client", or "You") agree to be bound by these Client Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

These Terms govern your use of our digital platforms in full compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, and relevant regulatory norms prescribed by the Bar Council of India.

Binding Notice: If you do not agree with or accept any provision contained within these terms, you must immediately discontinue using or accessing TapVakil services.

1. Nature of Platform & Intermediary Disclaimer

TapVakil operates strictly as an independent digital legal-tech facilitator and intermediary under Indian law:

Technology Facilitator Only

TapVakil does not directly practice law, provide direct legal opinions, or represent clients in judicial forums. All legal consultations or advisory sessions requested through the platform are delivered independently by verified advocate partners.

Attorney-Client Relationship

Browsing TapVakil or using AI tools does not automatically establish an advocate-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is created solely between you and the specific advocate upon entering a direct legal engagement.

2. User Eligibility & Account Security

Age RequirementYou confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering binding agreements under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
Account ConfidentialityYou are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, OTPs, and profile access.
Truthful SubmissionsInformation provided during consultations or case inquiries must be truthful, non-misleading, and legally accurate.
Respectful InteractionHarassment, abusive language, or soliciting illegal advice toward advocate partners is grounds for instant lifetime account suspension.

3. Fee Payments, Refunds & Off-Platform Prohibition

Payment Terms & Off-Platform Clause

All scheduled consultation fees are clearly displayed prior to booking and must be settled via designated online gateways.

⚠️ Strict Policy: Direct off-platform cash transactions with Vakil's for sessions initiated on TapVakil are strictly prohibited and nullify consumer protection guarantees.

Advocate No-Show:

Full 100% refund or free replacement consultation if an advocate misses a confirmed slot.

2-Minute Early Exit:

Report connectivity or communication problems within 2 minutes to request a credit reassignment.

4. Liability & Jurisdiction (New Delhi)

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, TapVakil shall not be held liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from professional legal opinions offered by independent advocates, or temporary platform unavailability.

🏛️ Jurisdiction: These Terms are governed strictly by the laws of India. Any legal disputes or claims shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in New Delhi, India.
